Three expats learn driving in a completely different country and realize that the major drawbacks are not strange traffic rules, but their own ingrained culture. All of them are in desperate need of a driving licence in order to work and survive. While taking driving lessons and trying to pass their tests, they realize how their deeply ingrained cultures are suddenly in their way. They quickly discover that confusions over driving on the right or left side of the road, manually waving signals versus clicking their signals are but the beginning of their problems .By observing our protagonists who are each facing the same difficulties across the world, we wish to demonstrate that stubbornly clinging onto the notion of a universal applicability of ones own cultural customs will not help them to get where they want to. Sharing a road just like sharing our life with people of different backgrounds requires tolerance and mental flexibility. Easier said than done. This film is about accepting cultural differences. It is a celebration of diversity of cultures and their underlying structure, rhythm and values; a cultural comedy that illuminates the dilemma of the individual in a globalized world.
