Betty Slater came from Kenya to Munich to live with her German husband. She now finds herself in the situation that passing her driving test is the most important thing in her life.

Max von Schoeler is in trouble. The police just confiscated his driver’s license in Mumbai which he needs for his new job for an NGO in India.

American Steve Burson moved to Tokyo for love. Unfortunately, he just found out that his new career has been jeopardised by not having a valid driver´s license for Japan.

Their lives are turned upside down anyway. While taking driving lessons and trying to pass their tests, they realize how their deeply ingrained cultures are suddenly in their way. They quickly discover that confusions over driving on the right or left side of the road, manually waving signals versus clicking their signals, a right of way or no right of way, are but the beginning of their problems.

If one wishes to drive, there is no escape: one must adapt to CULTURE, not to rules!
